Mikey General and O.B.F Sound System's musical universes collide once again on “Hold Strong”, joining forces for the first time since the release of the emblematic "My Sound A Danger" closing track to the "Wild" album.

Feel-good rub-a-dub mood, catchy chorus and a seductive brass section, Mikey’s lyrics reflect the everyday struggle faced by the proletarian, elevating those taking part in the global hustle. The track was built in Nazamba’s back yard in Kingston, JA in winter 2019 and O.B.F is making up for lost time: taking you back to take you forward!

“Hold Strong” is available on 7-inch vinyl with its dub version, packed in an original sleeve designed by established Ivorian artist and up-cycler Saliou Gnambode. Hold strong!

Dubquake Records présente « Hold Strong », une nouvelle collaboration entre O.B.F Sound System et le chanteur Jamaïcain Mikey General ! Suite à la sortie du titre emblématique « My Sound A Danger » paru en cloture du l’album « Wild », les collaborations Mikey General / O.B.F étaient restées jusqu’à ce jour de l’ordre de la dubplate malgré quelques sessions studio fort productives. Avec la sortie de ce nouveau single enregistré façon Yard Style en début 2019 au « Dog Ah Bark Studio » chez Nazamba, O.B.F rattrape le temps qui a filé.

Ambiance rub-a-dub sur riddim O.B.F, influences roots cuivrée et texte de lutte : « Hold Strong » suit les bonnes recettes qui ont fait le succès des collab JA / Geneva. Le tune disponible sur 7 inch avec sa version dub est livré dans une pochette originale qui met en lumière le travail de l’artiste Ivoirien up-cycleur reconnu sous le nom de Saliou Gnambode. Hold Strong !
