16 TONS OF DESIGUALIDAD

Suor e vitalidade do nosso povo!

2018 no Brasil barato ta ficando loco,

Privatizaram tudo, liberaram armamentos,
largaram o povo pobre a mercê do sofrimento,

Brasil Boom shaka lack, o Rastaman traz a visão,

16 TONS OF INEQUALITY

Listen closely because there are many…
Politicians, Rich people, Businessmen, Landowners, Bankers…
Vampire of all sorts that suck the blood,
the sweat and the vitality of our people!
The rich would be nothing without slavery…
Here in the hood we will follow the path of the light of consciousness because here is the
thing:

2018 in Brazil, shit is going down,
young people from the ghetto are dying over nothing,
crooked politicians do nothing for the people,
in the outskirts it’s ruthless, you slip you get shot

Who lives in the slum, can never make a mistake, no,
one misstep and everything can go to hell,
it’s hard to live with so much evil in the air
each has its own way to get by.

Corrupt police lurks around the streets,
in Latin America, this is the harsh reality,
militias in the ghettos spreading terror,
a facist, moralist and oppressive government plan,
They privatized everything, allowed the bearing of arms,
they abandoned poor people at the mercy of suffering
but if the child grows up and learns how to shoot,
he will be a superhero with the power of getting revenge,
that’s why reggae music has the mission to rescue.

Much better than being a gangster is be willing,
to do the right thing without harming your brother,
use your intelligence, toss the gun away,
life here is not easy, but don’t give into the illusion

Brazil Boom shaka Iack, the rastaman brings his vision,
I don’t want to see young people hostage of this situation,
learning from a young age how to pull a gun,
instead of studying, learning a trade,

This is our reality, it’s no sci-fi movie,
Look at the edges of the city, people without means,
what sustains your wealth is the foundation of slavery,
guaranteed privileges from generation to generation,

This is monkey flowing in rhythm, dropping here,
Only conscious ideas to fortify the nation,
OBF in the place inna militant style,
Speaking the truth without ever faltering.

The beat of the bass drum hits heavily in the chest, Boom, makes the floor shake
The low sound that breaks the glass with its vibrating power,
Feel the heat of the fire inside your heart,
Music is our weapon and we have a lot of ammunition

Much better than being a gangster is be willing,
to do the right thing without harming your brother,
use your intelligence, toss the gun away,
life here is not easy, but don’t give into the illusion.

16 TONNES D’INEGALITE

Écoute attentivement car ce sont trop de…
Politiciens, Riches, Hommes d’affaires, Propriétaires terriens, Banquiers…
